Overview
Savantly supports multi-user collaboration through Organizations and Teams. Organizations are shared accounts where multiple users collaborate under a single brand. Teams are subgroups within an organization with specific roles and access levels.
Organizations
What is an Organization?
An organization in Savantly is a shared account with:
- A unified business profile and public website
- A shared content library, social media connections, and AI agent
- Multiple members with different roles (Owner, Admin, Member)
- Its own billing and subscription
Creating an Organization
- Navigate to Organizations (
/organizations) in the sidebar. - Click + Create Organization.
- Enter:
- Organization name
- Subdomain — e.g.,
yourcompany→yourcompany.savantly.ai - Industry and Organization type
- Click Create.
- You'll be taken through the Business Profile Setup Wizard to complete the organization's profile.
Switching Between Organizations
If you belong to multiple organizations:
- Click your avatar or profile picture in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
- A dropdown shows all organizations and your personal profile.
- Click any organization to switch to it.
- The entire dashboard refreshes to show that organization's data.
Joining an Existing Organization
You can join an organization if:
- An admin sends you an invitation (see Inviting Members below)
- You have an invite link shared by an admin
To accept an invitation:
- Click the link in your invitation email.
- If you don't have a Savantly account, you'll be prompted to create one.
- Click Accept Invitation.
- You're now a member of the organization.
Organization Roles
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access — manage billing, delete organization, all features |
| Admin | All content and settings access — cannot delete organization or change billing |
| Member | Can create and edit content — limited settings access |
Roles are assigned when inviting members and can be changed afterward.
Changing a Member's Role
- Go to Organizations → [Organization Name] → Members.
- Find the member.
- Click the Role dropdown next to their name.
- Select the new role.
- Save changes.
Inviting Members to an Organization
Invite by email
- Navigate to Organizations → Members or Invites (
/invites). - Click + Invite Member.
- Enter the invitee's email address.
- Select their role (Admin or Member).
- Click Send Invitation.
- The invitee receives an email with a link to join.
Managing pending invitations
- Go to Organizations → Invites tab.
- See all pending invitations with their expiry dates.
- Resend an invitation if it has expired or wasn't received.
- Cancel a pending invitation to revoke access before it's accepted.
Removing a Member
- Go to Organizations → Members.
- Find the member.
- Click the three-dot menu (â‹®) next to their name.
- Click Remove from Organization.
- Confirm the removal.
The removed member loses access immediately. Their contributions (content they created) remain.
Teams
What is a Team?
A Team is a subgroup within an organization, typically representing a department, project group, or content area. Teams can have their own members with specific roles.
Example use cases:
- Marketing Team — manages social posts and blog content
- Sales Team — manages leads, CRM activities, and case studies
- Support Team — manages knowledge base and support docs
- Product Team — manages products, features, and changelog posts
Creating a Team
- Navigate to Organizations → Teams (
/teams). - Click + Create Team.
- Enter:
- Team name
- Description — What this team is responsible for (optional)
- Click Create.
Adding Members to a Team
- Open the team from Teams list.
- Click + Add Member.
- Select from existing organization members.
- Assign a team role:
- Team Admin — Can manage team settings and invite team members
- Team Member — Standard team access
- Click Add.
Team Roles vs. Organization Roles
- Organization roles control what a user can do across the entire organization
- Team roles are more granular and apply within the context of that team
A Team Member can be an Organization Member but given Team Admin rights for their specific team.
Managing Multiple Organizations
As a user, you can be a member of multiple organizations simultaneously. This is useful for:
- Agency owners — Managing multiple client organizations
- Contractors — Working with multiple companies
- Conglomerates — Parent company with multiple subsidiary brands
Each organization has completely separate:
- Content library
- Social media connections
- Email campaigns
- AI agent configuration
- Analytics data
- Subscription billing
Switch between organizations at any time using the profile/organization switcher in the dashboard header.
Organization Settings
As an Organization Owner or Admin, you can manage settings at:
- Navigate to Settings while viewing the organization's context.
- Configure:
- Organization profile — Name, logo, description
- Subdomain — Change the organization's subdomain
- Custom domain — Add a branded domain
- Billing — Manage the organization's subscription and payment method
- Member management — Invite, remove, and modify member roles
- API keys — Generate API keys for this organization's integrations
- Notifications — Set organization-level notification preferences
Leaving an Organization
- Go to Organizations and select the organization.
- Click Settings → My Membership.
- Click Leave Organization.
- Confirm.
Note: Organization Owners cannot leave their organization. You must either transfer ownership to another Admin first or delete the organization.
Deleting an Organization (Owners only)
- Go to Organization Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section.
- Click Delete Organization.
- Type the organization name to confirm.
- All organization data — content, profiles, conversations, campaigns — is permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.
